Self Harm Training

Delivered by BEP’s expert Mental Health and Wellbeing Team.
In this short workshop, we will explore some of the psychology of self-injury, which can be really concerning for us as staff and go on to explore how schools can support young people through whole school systems and processes.

When hurting helps. Self-injury and self-destructive behaviours can raise a lot of understanding and, indeed, appropriate anxiety among professionals. As education staff, we are often drawn to wanting to fix, and this is difficult when faced with a situation where hurting feels helpful.
