Youth Sports Trust: Easing of lockdown measures and the phased return to school.

With Government announcements on the easing of lockdown measures, the phased return to school for some primary pupils  from 01 June 2020, as well as some secondary pupils the Youth Sport Trust are now moving their support to help schools manage that transition whilst maintaining our support for those parents that still have children at home. By visiting this page you will also see the current free to access CPD that is available through a series of podcasts and webinars.

Support for Parents – Here you can access resources to support Emotional Well-being offering support to young people experiencing mental well-being issues, using psycho-social tools and stress-busting strategies for young people through our Active in Mind resources. Also included are active ideas for the Early Years, 60 second challenges to keep things interesting, ideas for support young people with SEND, PE at Home resources for Primary and Secondary age pupils and links to the Royal Opera House Create and Learning programme.

Support for Schools – In this section you will find a range of resources to support the widening of provision in your school with some year groups returning from 01 June. The resources should be used in line with Government and statutory guidance and are focused on the principles and practicalities of delivering PE and sport under current restrictions.  These include PE delivery principles for Primary and Secondary, Primary and Secondary PE Response to COVID-19, SEND PE Response KS1 – KS4 and a School Sport and Enrichment Response to COVID-19.
