The Priority Schools Service is for Maintained schools as part of the Birmingham City council contract. Schools are automatically provided with this service if they are found to Require Improvement or Inadequate by Ofsted. The service is also offered to Good and Outstanding schools who are due an Ofsted or who are identified as having a vulnerability either from three-year trend data or reduced leadership capacity. Schools can (and do) self-refer. See below for more information:
