Good Morning Everyone,

I don’t know about you but last week simply flew by!  I hope you all had a chance to relax.  Just before we broke up, the DfE released some guidance on ‘Pupil Premium Strategy Statements’ for all types of schools.  It includes both blank templates and completed examples and also suggests various reading, including: https://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/evidence-summaries/pupil-premium-guide/ . To access  the DfE guidance itself, use this link:  https://www.gov.uk/guidance/pupil-premium-strategy-statements.

Following on from your request for subject support, we have been working with subject associations to organise events and have arranged the following for the rest of this term.  All events are for both Primary and Secondary subject leaders.

RE:  19th November 2019 at St Matthew’s CE Primary, including keynote from Mary Myatt. For more information and to book, please use the following link:

Geography: 10th December 2019 at Birmingham City Football Club. For more information and to book, please use the following link: https://bep.education/events/subject-development-training-geography/

We have moved the Art one, and all the other subjects, into the spring term, as we are very aware that you will be ‘up to your ears’ in Christmas once December gets underway. Do keep your eye on the Events page on the BEP website.
