BEP Blog – Issue 78 – 25 February 2019

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you had a good week off and are well ready for the half term ahead.

Before we broke up we ran a couple of excellent Ofsted briefings for Headteachers and Chairs of Special Schools and Requires Improvement Schools. The special schools briefing was led by Sue Morris-King and over 23 of our Special schools attended. We were also delighted to host a couple of Sandwell Headteachers with 48 attendees in all.  Evaluations were really positive. A big thank you to Denise Fountain for hosting the event which meant we could offer it at no cost to the attending schools.

The RI event proved equally popular with James McNeillie leading. Over 50 people attended and we have had a very positive response from the Chairs of Governors who attended.

Just a reminder our final Families of Schools event for KS4 is this Thursday 28th February. We are delighted that more of you have booked on and so we have changed the venue to The Bond on Fazeley Street Digbeth.  James McNeillie will also be using the event to consult with you on the new Ofsted framework proposals so please come along and have your voice heard.

That’s all my news for now, have a good week everyone and you know where we are if you need anything at all.
