Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you had a good weekend and the first week back went well.

We are running many events this term for all schools in the City (all of which can be found on our web site)

Secondary Colleagues – Tim is sending you a letter which you will get in the post this week regarding various school improvement events and offers we are running this term, so keep an eye open for it.

We are also developing a system leader CPD which we are piloting this term. To trial this pilot, we have asked 10 colleagues (a selection of Primary, Secondary and Special School colleagues from a mix of both maintained and academy schools) in the city to help us.  Once the pilot has run and the 10 colleagues have given us feedback about its usefulness, we will know whether this is something we can offer out to other leaders in the city.  I will update you on this work over the coming term.

For those of you that have time (or pass to your English leads) this is an excellent piece on why we should be reading to children every day. https://smithsmm.wordpress.com/2018/11/04/the-joy-of-reading-why-reading-to-your-class-should-happen-in-every-class/

Have a good week everyone and you know where we are if you need anything at all.
