Happy New Year Everyone,

I hope you all had a good rest and enjoyed Christmas. Here at BEP HQ we finished the term with some really good Ofsteds, many of which referenced the impact of the reading project, which is great.

So on a roll I thought I would update you on events this term, which you may find useful.
SCMH SCHOOLS: We have arranged a briefing on Ofsted from Sue Morris-King for Headteachers and Chairs of Governors.
REQUIRES IMPROVEMENT SCHOOLS: We have arranged an Ofsted briefing from James McNeillie for Headteachers and Chairs of Governors to ensure you are all clear about your subsequent Section 8 and 5 inspections.
PHONICS SUPPORT: For schools below Y1 national average in 2018, there is some potential support of offers to help. Rachel Davis, Headteacher of Little Sutton Primary School, will be writing out to these schools with the offer of support this week. If you don’t get a letter and would like to self-refer please contact Rachel:
FAMILIES OF SCHOOLS: KS2&4 – Please book your place at these events here. Please note James McNeillie will be at the KS2 event as part of the consultation on the new Ofsted framework.
RAISING ACHIEVEMENT IN KS1:  Aimed at Primary two cheap but excellent half day CPD events to support you with your work in this area.
SSIF1: BEST PRACTICE EVENT to celebrate the end of this project we will be holding an event to evaluate its impact. All SSIF1 partners are invited; Tuesday 12th March 2019.
Lots to get involved in and hopefully lots to help you. If you need anything at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
