Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you so much to those of you who have taken the time to complete our Conference evaluation and our BEP survey.  We are busy collating the feedback and will share it with you as soon as it is complete.  Chrissie Grafton will also be ringing 10% of you for more detailed feedback, so please do speak to her if you can spare the time.

Secondary colleagues, we are running some really fantastic reading CPD starting this term: two high quality Packages of CPD with a focus on accelerating progress in reading to raise attainment. Our lead consultants, Jayne Welsh and Tony Whatmuff, have proven track records in school and will be sharing strategic and practical approaches to improving reading across the secondary curriculum. The Core Package includes a valuable toolkit of resources for use with Year 7 pupils. The Extended Package includes a day led by the National Literacy Trust exploring the Literacy Requirements of GCSE as well as other great modules. These packages are offered for a senior leader with a Literacy practitioner and will provide a wealth of tried and tested classroom and leadership approaches to support your school with reading and to be prepared for Ofsted.  Follow this link to find out more and book your places: https://bep.education/product-category/secondaryreading/

Forgive me if you already know about the following service, but I thought it was worth highlighting it to you.  Teaching Vacancies is a free, national search and listing service developed by the DfE for publicly funded schools to publish teacher vacancies, and for jobseekers to search for their next career move.  It has been introduced to help schools reduce the time and money spent on recruitment advertising, offering real-time recruitment where schools can directly upload and edit vacancies. They are encouraging all publicly funded schools / Trusts in England to sign up for the service now. To sign up, visit: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/list-a-teaching-job-at-your-school-on-teaching-vacancies or to search for a job, visit: https://teaching-vacancies.service.gov.uk/.
