Life after SATs

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you had a chance to get some well-earned rest over half term. I spent my time ‘bobbing about’ on a narrow boat!! It’s quite an interesting experience to go from 100 miles an hour to 2 miles an hour within two hours of finishing work!!!

The reading project is going really well and I am getting some great feedback about the work you are doing. Thank you so much everyone, it seems that you are all learning and sharing practice and thriving on the opportunity to do so. Just to let you know I sent out a reading project newsletter on 24th May, so if you are in the project and haven’t seen it, please check your ‘spam’ emails as they sometimes get directed straight to there.

The best practice reports from schools are piling in and one of our jobs will be to create a best practice booklet for reading that can be shared with all schools in the city. Hopefully we should be in a position to do this early next term fingers crossed.

In the meantime, have a good week everyone and you know where I am if you need anything.

My very best wishes to you all
