About the National Seminars

Welcome the Primary Art and D&T National Seminars booking page, a six part training course delivered by Birmingham Education Partnership in conjunction with the NSEAD (National Society for Education in Art and Design), RIBA (The Royal Institute of British Architects), Birmingham City University and featuring guest contributions from The National Gallery and internationally renowned artists Rana Begum, Sadie Williams, Haidee Drew and Sarah Graham. 

The National Seminars will be delivered on Zoom and offer a unique and high quality professional CPD learning program in the fields of Primary Art and Design & Technology. Backed by Head Teachers, the training has been developed via on the ground subject development work with teachers in schools, and will be delivered in a manner that is completely dedicated to teacher, subject and curriculum development.

The Audience
This training course is open to teachers in any part of the country and is suitable for Primary Art and D&T Subject Leads, Curriculum Leads, Senior Leaders, NQT’s, and students (ITT’s). The course is also suitable for artists, creative practitioners and cultural sector workers seeking to develop their understanding and engagement with the current primary education landscape. 

Resources and Learning
All attendees will receive exclusively commissioned course training materials and resources for each event which can be used towards ongoing subject and curriculum planning, and support subject leaders in delivering their own training in school.
