** THIS EVENT HAS NOW BEEN POSTPONED. AN ALTERNATIVE DATE WILL BE ARRANGED IN DUE COURSE**

Presented by: Secondary Drama Teacher Network

Drama – What are you teaching and why?

How ready are Drama teachers for the new Ofsted framework?
How clear is the Drama curriculum’s rationale in your school?
How well aligned is Drama with the whole curriculum approach in your school?

Drama has historically both benefitted and suffered from not being inside the National Curriculum as a discrete discipline.  This has generated a spectrum of approaches, from Drama as process to specifically teaching about the art form of Theatre which can present more challenges.

This unique session will give Drama teachers the chance to identify their own coherent approach to: Key subject knowledge and skills; how this is organised and sequenced; how it is assessed and what learners need to be able to articulate about the Drama curriculum.

The session will be led by an experienced headteacher, drama teacher and Ofsted Inspector
