We provide opportunities for children and young people at all stages of their education – from early years groups to university students – through a varied programme of opportunities ranging from workshops by individual musicians in schools, to orchestral concerts at Symphony Hall.
We deliver over 300 creative workshops and performances every year in schools in Birmingham and beyond, as well as giving annual Key Stage concerts at Symphony Hall and Relaxed Concerts for special school pupils at the fully accessible CBSO Centre.
The CBSO also provides heavily subsidised tickets for schools to all of our main season Birmingham concerts, so why not bring a group of students to experience a concert: with repertoire as diverse as Star Wars and Beethoven, there really is something for every musical taste and interest.

In addition to our programme of work with schools, we also deliver a series of projects outside of school hours. These projects provide young people from across the West Midlands with an opportunity to perform together, mentored and supported throughout by CBSO musicians, and to work with world class conductors.
