The Birmingham Jingle Truck Project

Do you own an old truck or van?

Would you be willing to give it a new life, and help the children of Birmingham celebrate the 2022 Commonwealth Games?

Six schools in southwest Birmingham are joining forces in the new year to celebrate the Commonwealth Games in the most spectacular and creative way. Taking inspiration from the world-famous Jingle Trucks of Pakistan and South Asia, and from the proud automotive heritage of our city, the six schools are planning to work together to transform a van or small truck into a Jingle Truck for Birmingham!

Pupils from King Edward VI Northfield School for Girls, Colmers School & Sixth Form College, Lordswood Boys School, Bellfield Junior School, Woodcock Primary School and Turves Green Primary School will work with a local artist to decorate the vehicle so that it can be used to help the city celebrate the forthcoming games.

Can you help?

We would like to borrow or acquire a van or small truck, of any age, with tax and MOT until at least August 2022. We would love a vehicle with links to the Longbridge MG / Rover / Austin works, but all offers would be very gratefully received!
