COURSE OVERVIEW:

This interactive half day course clarifies the need and purpose of the process of self-evaluation as an essential part of the continuous cycle of school improvement.  It is aimed at headteachers and will guide you in building a strong narrative in order to confidently tackle self-evaluation. 

 This training is led by our quality assured BEP consultants who successfully led our RAISEonline and RADY events. 

Our training will explore:      

  • Clarify the purpose of self-evaluation
  • Look at various ways to tackle the process of self-evaluation
  • Outline some of the evidence that can be considered as part of the self-evaluation process
  • Improve your skills in evaluative writing with a focus on your own self-evaluation document
  • Describe how an effective self-evaluation can help during an Ofsted inspection

To get the most out of this interactive course, delegates must bring with them, either on paper or electronically, their:

  • Current self-evaluation document
  • School improvement/development plan
  • Latest Ofsted report
  • RAISEonline summary report and/or inspection dashboard
  • Copy of the latest school inspection handbook (August 2016)
