How to Make the Most of Arts and Culture in Your School’s Ofsted inspection

In the box below is a PDF document from Arts Council England entitled How to Make the Most of Arts and Culture in Your School’s Ofsted inspection. It’s a really useful document and can help schools maximise their Arts Provision towards OFSTED. It was designed for Artsmark schools but I think schools in general will find this very interesting and useful..and perhaps will also ask them the question ‘where is our Arts Provision actually at?’ Do read through it if you can and don’t forget:

  • Schools can contact andrew.fox@bep.education  for a free health check, consultation visit to talk through their current Arts provision. This can be with Headteacher, Lead Teacher or SLT teams and we can cover such yummy topics as in school Arts provision, Extra Curricula, Partnership working / Commissioning, Teacher networks / CPD for the Arts, inspiring project ideas and also connecting you with the great Cultural and Arts Organisations in the City of Birmingham.
  • For schools that are thinking “Artsmark – I’d like to know more about that” do get in touch with andrew.fox@bep.education ,as Arts Connect can arrange a free visit to your school from a regional Artsmark Associate who can sit down with you for a chat. There are a growing number of Birmingham Schools  now in the Artsmark Community which is fab news, but the more diverse the mix and the more involved the more we can share and learn from each other across the city, and the stronger our Arts in Education Network will become.
