Free Expeditions Pioneer Programme
The Google Expeditions Pioneer Programme is a UK roadshow tour that aims to reach as many students and teachers in the UK as possible.
It is completely free and all we ask is for your feedback to help us improve the Expeditions App in order for us to develop it as a key learning tool.
Google Expeditions (video) is a tool to make lessons truly immersive through the use of a virtual reality headset.
An example of this in education would be to enhance writing a fictional or creative writing piece about sea life, a rainforest or even another city. We’ve been working with partners like David Attenborough, the Royal Palaces, and TES to create over 200 Expeditions specifically mapped to the national curriculum, ensuring that the experience can complement existing classroom plans.
We will visit your school with all the required kit and work with you to produce a schedule for the day. We work with classes of pupils aged 7 and up and with numbers up to 30 at a time. We run 2 classes concurrently and can run up to 22 sessions throughout the day, reaching up to 660 students.
We are in your area this term and our schedules are booking up fast.
